Virtual Trauma Art Exhibit Showcase

Sick Sad World
Artist Name: Antonia Traficante

This is a peace I did after the death of my boyfriend to an Overdose in December. Though I have been through my own trauma as a child and adult, I have learned that God blesses me every day. I am alive today because Jesus Christ has a purpose for my life to help others. I am able to do anything through Christ who strengthens me.

Artist Bio:

I am 42 years old woman who grew up in West Mifflin. At the age of 5 I was sexually assaulted by a neighbor of mine. Growing up, I always felt so alone and I turned to drugs to comfort me. 3 years ago I was blessed to be accepted in a Christian organization called Light of Life. Being there taught me that I am loved by Christ and others and I am never alone. At that time, I discovered a love for art. And through the support of others and a blessing by God, I discovered I have a gift and I can draw and paint. I truly believe that God gave me this artistic talent to help others and help myself. This past December, I lost the man I was in love with for 2 years to an Overdose. But I have managed to maintain my sobriety and I currently live with his mom to help her. I am very blessed by God daily and I feel like God gives me what I was missing all of my life.

Pittsburgh Baptist Church wholly aligns with biblical standards and doctrines for faith and practice. Not all
